Physical Therapy Team

Chase Dwight and Shawn Skinner, licensed physical therapists, along with physical therapy assistants Joe Finneman and Sheila Crockett, are skilled in assisting patients to heal and return to their daily lives while utilizing every aspect of their experience and capabilities.

Patients come to Pinnacle from many different backgrounds—athletes from playground to professional, industrial workers, those effected by musculoskeletal disease and the growing arthritic, aging population.

Chase, Shawn, Joe, and Sheila are long time residents of the Northshore and are dedicated to providing the community unequaled service.

A. Chase Dwight, PT, DPT

Physical Therapist

Chase Dwight was raised in Covington, Louisiana and is a graduate of Covington High School. He attended Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond, Louisiana receiving a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Chemistry. He attended physical therapy school at LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans earning a Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2010 completing research in motivation of individuals to change health-related behaviors. Since graduation, Chase has worked in orthopedics and has a special interest in treating athletes of all ages.

For Pinnacle Physical Therapy, Chase holds the position of Clinical Coordinator of Clinical Education. As such, he has established Pinnacle as a clinical education site and serves as a Clinical Instructor for LSU Health Sciences Center. Chase is also trained and certified in the advanced practice of Dry Needling to bring fast relief to neuromuscular dysfunction

Chase currently is a resident of Covington where he enjoys spending time with his wife, Debra, and wonderful daughter, Abbey.

Shawn Skinner, PT

Physical Therapist

Shawn Skinner has been helping patients recover from injuries and orthopedic procedures for over twenty years. He graduated from St. Paul’s School in Covington, Louisiana in 1980. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Louisiana State University and taught English and coached baseball at his alma mater. He later earned his Bachelor of Science degree at Louisiana State University at the School of Allied Health in New Orleans. His affiliations were at Baylor Medical Center in Dallas, Texas, The Methodist Hospital in Houston, Texas and Baton Rouge Neurological Center in Baton Rouge.

His experience includes accelerated orthopedic rehabilitation program, manual therapy, kinesiotaping and patient education. Shawn also serves as clinical instructor for LSU School of Allied Health and University of Tennessee. Shawn is married to his wife Dawn, and they have three sons, Shawn-Wesley, Brennan and Colin.

Joe Finneman, PTA

Physical Therapy Assistant

Joe was born in Coco Solo, Panama in what was once the Canal Zone. He moved to the United States in 1978 and has been in the Mandeville area since. He graduated from Delgado Community College in 1996 with an Associate’s Degree in Science in the Physical Therapist Assistants Program. He began working in the Physical Therapy Department at Lakeview Hospital after graduation and worked there until 2008. He began working at the Orthopedic Clinic of Mandeville in 2006 and has continued his success with Pinnacle Physical Therapy. He is married and has one daughter.

Sheila Crockett, PTA

Physical Therapy Assistant

Sheila Crockett was raised in Covington, Louisiana and is a graduate of Covington High School. She attended Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond, Louisiana receiving a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with a double concentration in Health Promotion and Exercise. She also attended Delgado Community College earning an Associate's Degree in Science in the Physical Therapist Assistant Program. Sheila has worked in Orthopedics and Acute care. She has over 15 years experience in the physical therapy field. Sheila resides in Bush, Louisiana with her husband and daughter.
