Pinnacle Medical Events

This year has been very exciting for all our patients and providers at Pinnacle Medical. Along with our relocation and expansion of the facility and services, we have been incredibly active in the community. To date we have completed and are planning multiple events throughout the remainder of the year.

Relocation and Expansion

In July we were excited to relocate into our new facility to create the first of its kind, Integrated Center of Care for musculoskeletal injuries. By combining Pinnacle Orthopedics and Sports Medicine with Pinnacle Physical Therapy, Premier Imaging, OrthoCare NOW Walk-in Clinic, D1 Northshore Sports Training, and Southern Pain and Neurological, we created the best environment for your care. Our ribbon cutting was well received with Community, Business, and Government officials attending in support of our growth and the great benefits we can offer our patients.

High School Sport Physicals and Team Care

Pinnacle Orthopedics and Sports Medicine has multiple partner schools in both St Tammany and Washington Parishes. Every year we conduct sports team physicals in compliance with the LHSAA requirements for student athletes. By performing these much needed services, student athletes can participate in school team sports knowing they are cleared for play. In addition, our Certified Athletic Trainers conduct ImPACT baseline Concussion Testing for our partner schools as part of our SAFE-PLAY Concussion Care Program. This is Pinnacle’s way of helping student athletes and sports teams recognize and manage potential head injuries from impact sports.

D1 Northshore Sports Training Kick-Off Event

This was a great event! The house was packed as we worked multiple groups through a structured and fun strength and conditioning event much like pro athletes on the field or on the court. Participants from 7 to 60 years old participated in group events, and we were glad to see such a great turnout. When the participants completed the program, they received direct and beneficial feedback from all of our D1 Northshore coaches as well as having the opportunity to discuss any training or medical issues with our on-site Sports Medicine Physicians. This is an experience you can get nowhere else on the Northshore! D1 Northshore Sports Training will soon announce the details for their NFL Athlete D1 Experience. Health Fairs and Community Support

Pinnacle Orthopedics has partnered with Our Lady of Angels Hospital in Bogalusa, La, and Dr. Jason Rudd holds clinic there every Thursday. As part of our commitment to the community in Washington Parish, we are the only Orthopedic Specialty group that actively sees patients on a weekly basis. In addition to our community commitment with the local Hospital, we also partnered with International Paper as part of their October 2015 Health Fair. Pinnacle Orthopedics presented information on Safe Lifting techniques and Back/Spine Care for the employees of International Paper. Turnout for the event was very strong with many other vendors and providers participating in the Health Fair.

Community Events

On Thanksgiving Day, Pinnacle Medical will be a proud sponsor of the 2015 Run for Hope “Turkey Trot” to be held at Terra Bella Village in Covington, La. This charitable 5K running event is for the benefit of Cancer Research and is held in honor of Vince Lombardo, a long time Covington resident that lost his battle with cancer. There will be multiple sponsors and vendors with prizes and other items for participants. Not only is Pinnacle Medical a sponsor for the event but we will have runners participating as a show of our commitment to Cancer Research and Health & Wellness. Visit www.run-for-hope.com or call Marc Lombardo at (985) 966-0659 for more info.
